The author is retired after a 30+ year career in law enforcement, corrections, and private security which included work as sworn police officer, correctional officer, probation/parole officer, probation/parole supervisor, and prison manager.  Along the way he obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies.  This book integrates that life experience with an inveterate interest in social and political issues.  It hopefully will stimulate critical thinking on the part of its readers and promote civil and productive discussion, in addition to being an enjoyable read.
