The author is retired after a 30+ year career in law enforcement, corrections, and private security which included work as sworn police officer, correctional officer, probation/parole officer, probation/parole supervisor, and prison manager.  Along the way he obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies.  This book integrates that life experience with an inveterate interest in social and political issues.
